how to make a parki treasure map

parki is anywhere. parki is everywhere.
the parki is where we turn our extra-ordinary life
and everyday places into playworlds for our imagination...

Every month, a parki treasure hunt is secretly set up in the parki.
It takes a whole month to move from one puzzle the the next, to discover all the treasures and solve the quest.

The parki treasure hunt is a party, where everyone plays together -
to solve the mysteries,
to learn the craft of their magic treasure objects,
to feast on delicious treats they discover on their journey,
and to reach the fulfillment of their quest -
find the mysterious "parki parti" - a place of rad love and fireworks.

To make a map of the parki treasure hunt:

1. YOU ARE HERE - X
Where in the parki are you NOW?
Mark this location in the centre of the map. From here you will explore...

2. Move to a new, secret, fascinating, wonderful location. Note the details of your location on the map. When you find a place that is tingling with enough magic details, it is good indication that treasure is nearby... Now, lie low, look and listen very carefully...

3. At every secret treasure spot, there lives a creature... the parki has no field guide, so get ready to spy with your little eye... the creature waits for you with some trick and treat surprise.

If you meet such a creature, try to remember as much of it as you can so you can ad important things on the map - such as "beware:purple stinging tentacles" or "friendly, likes to swing you around - fun!" Some creatures like to make drawings of themselves and will even pose for pictures, so have a camera handy.

4. Trick or treat... you will have to engage the creature in some form of play. This is the only way you can be proven worthy of the treasure. Parki play is made-up play.
It's a monkey-puzzle adventure. It's where YOU decide how high you wanna jump, fast you wanna swing, how many balls you want flying through the air... however wild your imagination needs to be. Sometimes I like games like "waiting for the kettle to boil", other times, I like "windmill crazyleg bundubash". Just make sure you note the name of the game on your map.

5. Treasure. Parki treasures are nifty. Parki treasures are pretty. They make you go WOW and feel kinda special. You see it and you know how much fun you're gonna have using it. How much better your life is now. And... you just love to look at it. Look at it, feel the dreamy twinkle in your gaze... and say... wow... It adds a nice image on the map as well...

***

When you've drawn the details of your treasure-hunt experience - the location, the creature, the game, the treasure - you are ready to move to a new, secret, fascinating location. Follow same steps (2-5)...

And so create a route, from one game to the next.

AND REMEMBER:
YOUR QUEST IS TO FIND THE PARKI PARTI
where all the creatures with their tricks and treats and treasures come together in a fantastical climax of rad love and fireworks.

*you will solve the quest much better when you involve some friends - more people drawing and sharing treasure map details - more chance that you will find the parki parti.

**have fun.
